Dear Colleagues,
Three decades ago, a handful of extra ordinary Orthopaedicians, orchestrated a resolution to form an “Academic Conglomerate”, with the objective of placing Scientific Content on the highest pedestal of Orthopaedic Knowledge & Education. The Nashik Orthopaedic Society was conceived & established in 1986 , thanks to the Herculean efforts of these stalwarts.
As time went by, the academic progeny of the Founder Members nurtured this Society with their sweat, blood and tears into an Institution, which in its present form is considered a “Temple of Orthopaedic Learning”.
Orthopaedics has seen Innovations and Inventions, both subtle and sublime. Non-surgical options gave way to aggressive surgical options to restore anatomy. Lessons learnt from anatomic restoration, not percolating into physiological outcomes, made us lean towards minimally invasive options. Today, we stand at crossroads, where there may be a “Paradigm Shift”, back towards non-surgical, bio-engineered solutions for many unanswered questions in our field.
My guess is as good as yours???
For this year NOS has a large offering on its “Scientific Platter”. Besides the “Interactive Clinical Meetings”, one Sunday of the month, the Executive Committee has planned a large number of courses for its members to keep us all updated though “Continuous Medical Education” about the state of art options in all sub-specialties of Orthopaedics.
. The coffers of the NOS are always secure under the eagle eye of our patrons. It is my firm belief that the year 2016-17 should be a landmark year, and “Nashikon”, should be the Zenith of Academic Transcendence.I urge you dear members of the NOS to solemnly pledge your support to the team that you have chosen for this Year”. Please participate in all our activities with enthusiasm and vigour adding flavour to our most vibrant “Nashik Orthopaedic Society”.
